The Money Duck

MAKING AND SAVING MONEY ONLINE.

Sunday

some of the sites I'm using

Some of the sites I'm trying out are:

WowEarnings - paid emails, you get several a day. $5 dollars sign up bonus, $20 minimum payout if you request a check, $25 for Paypal.

FusionCash.net - get paid for completing offers. I made $31.80 after only being signed up for a day or two and my payment is pending.

CashCrate.com - another get paid for offers site. I've got a pending payment of $7.15 which I made extremely quickly.

Saturday

bleh

Well I had a very un-fun day yesterday involving the FTC and a broken radiator. Read more about it here, I'm not much inclined to write about it again since thinking about it makes me ill.

Wednesday

CashCrate

I signed up with CashCrate 2 or 3 days ago. I've already earned enough to qualify for the minimum payout. That is pretty nifty. The payment should come in mid-June. They pay on the 20th of every month and I'll be getting it through my Paypal account.

Surveys and InboxDollars

The most I've made at one time online was a focus group through a survey that netted me $40. But lately I've not had much luck with survey sites. A lot of them pay in points or in sweepstakes entries and they're usually not worth the time. I'll collect a few of the ones that I still use and let you know about them.

One place that does pay for surveys regularly though is Inbox Dollars. IF you qualify for the survey you can take one a day and earn a dollar for each one you complete. That's in addition to the money you get from reading emails and doing offers. I keep forgetting to go there and take the surveys though. I'm going to focus on doing that at least once a week. Hopefully I'll earn my third check from them faster that way.

Coupons Received

Monday afternoon I received several coupons in the mail that I had requested online. The first few were from Simple Green. And Simple Green? Is awesome. Not only did they send me 3 coupons for $2 off (which means I can get it for free) but they have no expiration dates. Plus they also sent me two sample size spray bottles of concentrated Simple Green. They've probably earned a customer for life.

I also received a couple of coupons from Kimberly Clark for Scott brand paper products. We use their paper towels because they soak up more and the bathroom paper because it's cheaper. I like their products but I'm not very impressed with their actual company so far. The email message I got back was kind of short and almost curt, and the coupons are only for 50 cents off even though you can print a $1.00 off coupon from their site. (I mentioned I couldn't print them.)

I would just give up on paper towels but it's difficult to do when you have 7 cats and a 3 year old nephew.

Saving Money on Groceries

I'm currently trying to go for a month without buying groceries. We have a lot in our pantries and even in the fridge and I think we should be able to do it without much trouble. I'm allowing for stuff like milk and bread because that just isn't feasible.
I've been trying to do my best to save money on groceries in any way I can because that's where a huge hunk of our money goes. I've recently joined a coupon train to try and cut some costs, so we'll see how that goes.
These are some of the tips I've been following to to reduce the grocery budget. So far, it seems to be working well. I just need to refine it, I think, and stick to it.

Monday

This blog will be where I detail the various ways I'm earning extra money from the internet and saving money online, too.

For my general finance blog involving other money related stuff see here. For my personal blog see here. And, finally, for my debt AND clutter related blog see here.

So it begins, I suppose.
